Stoke City Fight Night Volume 2 - 13th March 2026 (GIG SUMMARY/REVIEW)

Bands on this bill are as follows: Invasion (1782 Style), Prozpekt (North East Dance Tunes), Smother (SCHC Violence), Lights Out (Glasgow Fight Music), Bathed In Sin (Glasgow Mosh).

Before I start talking about the actual bands themselves, I want to give a huge shout-out to Josh from 1782 Promotions . Josh is working absolute wonders for the Stoke-on-Trent scene at the moment. He's consistently booking incredible bands and even runs Engelfest. Which is an Emo/Hardcore/other adjacent genres all-dayer held at The Underground.

(I will try to update this post once the photographer releases the photos).

Now onto what you are all actually waiting for....

BANDS

Invasion

(This one might be a bit biased as I am really good mates with this band but oh well...)

I have seen Invasion more times than I can count, I was at their first gig and I have been to every gig they have done in Stoke since (I think). This is a band that are fairly new to the game(been playing for about a year), yet already they are starting to really make a name for themselves and my god do they deserve it. They played a new track which was almost like a blend of classic death metal and pure energetic hardcore.

Go stream their (Fairly) new EP at https://invasionhc1.bandcamp.com/album/matricide-for-a-pockets-weight or on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/album/3OuVwvR3ktIeQfBe6XupTg

I have had the absolute privilege of seeing these once before with Going Off about a year ago and I am so glad they came back. These lot have got to be one of my favourite UKHC out there at the moment. They even played a slayer cover a little bit which was quite funny. These lot just have riffs that give you pure stinkface with how dirty they are.

Lights Out

Yes you are seeing that right, a paper plate as a setlist. These were the first out of the 2 bands that had travelled all the way down from Glasgow, sadly they played a short set as their drummer was unwell(so they got a stand-in drummer). Regardless of this, they still sounded incredible. They had a sort of late 90s sound to them, which I absolutely adored. I sincerely hope that they come back soon.

Sadly, I did not capture any video of these as I was too busy moshing haha
So here are some links to purchase/stream their stuff:

Considering these have only been playing shows since late December 2023, they are SCHC legends. They even won the 2024 Stoke Metal to the Masses and got to play Bloodstock Festival that same year. I must have seen them like 5 times at least, they always prove for a good mosh and give some of the most tantalising riffs you have ever heard. One of the last tracks they played just had this disgusting tone that just makes you want to throw down. If you want to get riled up, this is the band you want to do it to. These will definitely have their big break soon, I can feel it.
I HIGHLY recommend that you check them out, now.

Bathed In Sin

Final band of the night, Second one from Glasgow.
My god were these were these incredible. These lot gave out just pure, relentless energy that can't be described unless you see them in person. Another band full of songs you can just mosh to, its incredible how nuts we went for these. Its hard to put into words how great these were so I'll just leave it there.

CONCLUSION

While I have seen 3/5 of these bands before this gig, I would hands down go to see them all again countless times.
