The cover for the 2003 Demo
CDC are a Hardcore band that emerged in September 2003 from the silent suburban streets of three little towns named Lansdale, Doylestown and Perkasie in Pennsylvania (USA).
Having started as a studio only project, the original members decided to take the show on the road. With a newly recorded demo and an instant "buzz" about them, CDC began playing shows all over the east coast of the USA.
Through the rest of the 2000’s, CDC toured relentlessly across North America and Europe, stacking up over 700 shows in 24 countries including countries that were quite far away like South Africa and Bulgaria.
Over the course of those 7 years they had seven releases. In 2015, CDC released the “End” EP on GTR Records and Beatdown Hardware. “End” was five brand new tracks that has a more polished sound to it, although it still has the same raw energy as their early stuff.
During the 2010’s, CDC slowed down its touring assault but still managed to pump out numerous tours and fests such as Ieper Fest (which is a Belgian hardcore fest held annually in Ypres since September 1992, then annually each august from 1994 to 2018. Since 2019 the summer edition has been held each July).
Their tours took them across North America, Europe, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and also the Middle East. Finishing the decade with an astonishing 43 countries and just shy of 1,000 shows under their belt.
CDC plans to continue traveling to new places and continue playing shows. The frequency of future tours is unknown but this band will never “End”.
This demo has a really raw, "fuck you" kind of energy to it. I distinctly remember first listing to the song "Crowd War" while playing Halo 3.
My favourite song from this has to be Crowd War as it has real mosh potential, I can envision myself moshing pretty hard to this whole Demo.
